Bovine smuggling bid foiled, 17 bovine animals rescued; smuggler held | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 17: In continuation to operation 'Kamdhenu', a special drive against bovine smuggling launched by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu-Vivek Gupta, today Bishnah police claimed to have foiled a bovine smuggling bid, rescued 17 bovines while arrested one bovine smuggler. Police spokesman said that police party of Police Station Bishnah, raised a surprise naka at Palli Morh and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AL-6095 loaded with 17 Bovine animals at Palli Morh. "During checking of vehicle, 17 bovines were rescued and driver of the truck namely Harbans Singh of Chak Mohd Yaar in RS Pura was arrested on the spot. In this connection a case under FIR No.160/2018 under section 188 of RPC 3 PCA Act has been registered in Police Station Bishnah. The arrest and recovery has been made by Inspector Rajesh Sharma assisted by SI Ankuj under the close supervision of DySP Sourabh Prashar- SDPO RS Pura, SP Headquarters-Romesh Kotwal. |
