NMC demands disbursal of salary, pension | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 19: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today appealed to the Governor that in view of the ensuing festival of Id-ul-zuha and Raksha Bandan, the salary, the pension and the long pending wages of daily rated workers, etc. should disbursed before these festivals, so that these categories of the employees, pensioners, daily rated workers, etc. are able to celebrate these festivals without hustles. Addressing a well attended NMC Workers meet here, Shastri pointed out that the employees, pensioners and daily rated workers are mostly hard-up in the last days of the month, they will heave a sigh of financial relief. Shastri also urged N.N Vohra, the Governor of J&K State to allocate funds in this regard and place the same at the disposal of the concerned drawing and disbursement officers for timely withdrawal and disbursement to the all concerned. Shastri further hoped that the Governor Administration will realize the problem of the salaried/ working classes and also pensioners, etc., thereby taking considerable and passionate view for timely disbursement. While appreciating the affective and vibrant administrative functioning will also attract this issue for early addresses. Speedy implementation of SRO 520, setting up of separate wage for disbursement of regular monthly salary, enhancing wages of daily rated workers to rupees three hundred fifty per day and releasing 7th pay commission arrears in one go in favor of state Govt. employees and pensioners beside enhancing the medical allowance to rupees three thousand per month were others demands highlighted on the occasion. |
