Poonch, Aug 19 : Axe is going to fall on illegally run unregistered four dental clinics and three diagnostics laboratories in Mendhar town which have been sealed on Friday afternoon by the authorities and simultaneously resealed on very next day while Chief Medical officer Poonch is said to take action sources said here today.
A team of officers included BMO Dr. Parvez Khan along with Naib Tehsildar and police party sealed 4 dental clinics which were said to be illegal and not registered with Dental Council of India and 4 diagnostic clinical laboratories which have been indulged in charging exhorbitant rates from gullible public for conducting various clinical tests.
Sources said soon after the clinics were sealed owners of these clinics went to Sub Divsional Magistrate Dr Tanveer Khan who returned them by saying that he had nothing to do with the matter as the raids were conducted by Block Medical officer and he only can solve the problem, he said
However BMO put blame on SDM and so on.
But on the next day the owners of 4 dental clinics and three diagnostic laboaratries resealed their establishments of their own and started their usual business , they added.
When contacted Chief Medical officer Poonch Dr Mumtaz Bhatti told Early Times that if the clinics were sealed by the BMO , the owners cannot reseal those of their own as that will be an act of offence. Still then we will look into the matter and initiate inquiry as warranted under relevant laws , CMO added.
