JAMMU, Aug 20: Congress Seva Dal (CSD) today celebrated the 74th birth anniversary of late prime minister Rajiv Gandhi. A function was organized under the chairmanship of State Chief Organizer, CSD Rajesh Sadhotra in which other party members also participated. While paying their tributes to the former PM, Rajesh remembered Rajiv Gandhi as "a kind, gentle and affectionate man" and said, "Terrorism is one of the biggest problems of our country and former Prime Minister RajIv Gandhi was a young leader with innovative ideas for our country, also fell prey to terrorist activities like many other sons of India. We should take a pledge to fight the forces of disruption, threatening human lives and values." A plantation drive was also organized on the occasion. Senior Vice President JKPCC Raman Bhalla, JKPCC spokesman Ravinder Sharma, Prashant Sharma, Vijay Sharma, Rajni Sharma, Tamana, Anita Devi, Varinder Sharma and others were also present there. |
