HIRANAGAR, Aug 21: Employment- Information-cum-Advisory Bureau, Department of Lifelong Learning, University of Jammu today organized an awareness programme in "Careers in Sciences" at Govt. Degree College, Hiranagar.
The programme was organised under the supervision of Dr. Kavita Suri, Director, DLL. The objective of the programme was to help the students at their crucial stage to plan their careers and take appropriate decision.
It was inaugurated by Dr. Subhash Chander Sharma, Principal of the college who in his speech, stressed upon the need of career awareness programmes for the students. About 100 students participated in the programme.
The special resource persons in the programme were Dr. Sarabjeet Kour, Sr. Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, University of Jammu and Dr. Sandeep Arya, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, University of Jammu. They apprised the students about career options in medical and non-medical streams respectively. Dr. Rewa Khajuria, Counsellor, EIAB introduced the guests and spoke about the importance of career counselling. |
