BJP is kicking up a hoax on Govt formation
8/25/2018 11:17:00 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 25: The state unit of the BJP has raised a scare among main stream political parties after it has declared its intentions on the formation of the Government in Jammu and Kashmir.
Where are the numbers? This is a million dollar question because as far as number of MLAs is concerned the BJP does not have the support of 44 MLAs. Its dependence on less than five MLAs from the PDP, who have revolted against the party leadership.
Sajjad Lone, who has a dream to become the Chief Minister has been able to garner the support of six MLAS which would not allow BJP to form the Government. The BJP has 25 MLAs and six supporters of Sajjad Lone may not give the BJP to form the Government.
Yes, the BJP could have formed the Government in alli ance with the National Conference which has 12 MLAs in the House. But the NC leadership is apprehensive of its plan to shake hands with the BJP which has earned the nomenclature of touch me not flower as far as the Kashmir valley is concerned.Since the NC has a vote bank in tact in the Kashmir val
Behind the veil
ey it may not risk its possible win in the next election.
The BJP could have formed the Government in alliance with the Congress, which has 15 MLAs, but it would be like a meeting of the east with the west. And the state unit of the Congress is sure of its win in the next election and that is why it may not sacrifice its victory on the altar of love for power.
This way the BJP leadership is kicking up a hoax about the formation of the Government in Jammu and Kashmir. Joining hands with the BJP is treated by Kashmir centric parties as a sort of Harakiri. Hence the dream of BJP to form the Government may not materialize. And Dr Farooq Abdullah seems to be right when he said that the political and security scenario do not favour BJP to form the Government.
Hence it would be a miracle if the BJP is able to form the Government. The BJP, by joining hands with the PDP, for formation of the Government has performed miserably. Hence if the BJP is back to power by means unknown to the known the BJP is a finished lot because it is not able to perform suitably.
