Early Times Report Bhaderwah Aug 27: An interactive session was organized by faculty of life sciences, Institute Of Mountain Environment to apprise the students about the issues and challenges the mountains are currently facing. Sh O.P Vidyarathi, Director, Department of Ecology, Environment and Remote Sensing in his address correlated the historical, cultural and ecological facts of Himalayan environment. He highlighted the issues that mountains are facing and the implications on ground. He impressed upon the audiences to put in maximum efforts for the reduction of pollution along with conservation of energy in order to safeguardthe nature and natural resources for a better tomorrow. Dr. Neeraj Sharma, in his address emphasized upon the need of voluntary actions on part of student community to sensitize the general public about the issues and problems being faced by the mountains and jointly workout the management strategies thereof. |
