NIA nabs Ambphalla Jail Dy Superintendent for helping terrorists

Jammu, Aug 28: Breaking nexus between senior police officers and terrorists active in Kashmir Valley, National Investigating Agency (NIA) this evening arrested
NIA arrests main conspirator Ishaq Palla and Deputy Superintendent of Jail Feroz Ahmad Lone in the Kupwara- HM conspiracy case. Accused Ishaq Palla has been remanded to 10 days' NIA custody. Feroz Ahmad Lone will be produced before the Court tomorrow.
According to official communiqué of the NIA "On August 28, 2018 NIA has arrested two accused persons namely Ishaq Palla of Shopian and Feroz Ahmed Lone, currently posted as Deputy Jail Superintendent Amphalla Jail Jammu in a case".
"The case pertains to an attempt by the accused persons Suhail Ahmed Bhat and Danish Ghulam Lone, who were arrested earlier, to travel to PoK for arms training for wagging war against the State. They were motivated by Ishfaq Palla. At the time of incident Palla was lodged in Central prison Srinagar in a different case and he was instrumental in hatching the conspiracy from Jail. In this conspiracy he was actively assisted by Feroz Ahmed Lone, who was posted as Deputy Jail Superintendent Central Jail Srinagar at that time", official hand-out mentioned.
The conspiracy meeting at the central prison Srinagar was held on 25 October 2017. Accused persons were in contact with each other through
blackberry messenger during whole of October before they were apprehended by the police on 30 Oct 2017.
Accused Ishaq Palla has been remanded to 10 days' NIA custody by the Spl NIA court Jammu. Other accused Feroz Ahmad Lone will be produced before the Court tomorrow for seeking his custody.
