Mobile film making course concludes | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 31: Weeklong foundation course on mobile film making concluded this evening at Press Club of Jammu the course was jointly organised by Film and Television institute of India (FTII) Pune and Press Club of Jammu. Speaker J&K legislative Assembly Dr. Nirmal Singh was the Chief Guest. The function was presided over by the senior faculty member from FTII Pune, Prof. G.B. Singh. Addressing the gathering the speaker stressed on the need of organising more such courses in Jammu so that the people working in film making and journalism in the state could sharpen their talents. He appreciated the efforts of FTII to organize this course at Jammu and hoped that more such courses will be held in near future. In his address Prof. G.B. Singh gave details about several other courses being organized by FTII outside the Pune campus and said that more initiatives will be taken to hold such courses in Jammu. President Press Club of Jammu, Ashwani Kumar in his address appreciated the enthusiasm shown by 51 participants who took part in this course. He assured that the club will plan courses in cinematography and digital photography in near future. Secretary General Press Club of Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal announced that he will provide all support to local film makers to produce short films on Drug Abuse. Certificates were also distributed among the participants by the speaker. Executive member management committee Press Club of Jammu Deepak Khajuria presented vote of thanks. |
