Bid to draw double salary

Rajouri, Sept 2: Education department has initiated an inquiry against a senior assistant working in the office of CEO, Rajouri on adjustment basis for his an alleged attempt to draw salary from two places i.e from his original place of posting and as a surplus senior assistant at the office CEO.
The matter came to light when he reportedly submitted the documents (for getting salary as surplus) in the Directorate office and accordingly the officials at CEO were directed to ask ZEO, Peeri to release his salary against the post of senior assistant lying vacant in the office of ZEO.
Surprised over the development--as the officials at CEO office were aware that Shabir was getting salary from his original place of posting as senior assistant at Panihad HSS-they brought the matter in the notice of senior officers at Directorate.
Annoyed over the development Director School Education vide his office order No. DSEJ/NG/42276-77 dt 28/8/18 has directed the CEO, Rajouri to suspend Shabir Ahmed Malik and initiate an inquiry into the matter.
On the directions from DSEJ , District Education Planning Officer (DEPO) vide order No.CEOR/NT/2018-19 dt 29/8 18 has suspended Shabir and directed him to report at his original place of posting at Panihad.
He was also charge sheeted and directed by DEPO to submit his explanation within three days.
DEPO has also constituted an inquiry committee comprising of Tanveer Ahmed Mir, HoD, DIET and principal HSS, at Saj and asked to submit report along with their recommendations within 3 days.
Sources said about year ago Shabir was sent to CEO office by ZEO office to extend help in official work and was drawing salary from HSS, at Panihad.
Reportedly in nexus with some officials at Jammu Shabir managed to submit false and fabricated documents in the office of Director School Education claiming he was surplus at CEO office in order to manage second salary.
When DEPO Gulzar Hussain was approached for his comments, he switched off his mobile phone.
