J&K Grameen Bank holds training, felicitation programme

Srinagar, Sept 8: Jammu and Kashmir Grameen Bank and Religare Health Insurance Department arranged a Training & Felicitation programme at Hotel R K Sarovar, Srinagar
Financial Inclusion and Insurance Department under the chairmanship of Janak Raj Angural arranged a special Training & Felicitation programme at Srinagar today throughout the branches of Kashmir region. The said campaign is conducted in association with the Insurance partner Religare Health Insurance. The initiative is taken to capitalise the dynamism of health insurance and wide spread its awareness to the rural clientele.
During the event Chairman Janak Raj Angural was the Chief Guest, while speaking on the occasion, Janak Raj Angural said that the need of health insurance is vital in today's life scenario in rural as well as in urban area. The expenses and costs incurred on the medical treatment are increasing substantially day by day & health insurance is another tool which provides financial protection and security in case of any health hazard. He appealed all the felicitated Branch Heads of ROK to make people understand the importance and need of health insurance and approach the people for availing hassle free health insurance services. He sensitized the Regional Managers of ROK also to extensively involve their branches to reap the dual benefits of societal upliftment and financial security from this initiative.
He added that the programme is aimed to felicitate the achiever branches of Religare campaign conducted in last Financial Year. The winner branch managers i.e., who have qualified the criteria of sourcing minimum business of Rs.31000 during the campaign were Ghulam Rasool Bhat Branch Manager Kupwara, Nazir Ahmed Kana Branch Manager Khumriyal, Shabir Ahmad Hafiz Branch Manager Kunzer, Ishtiyaq Ahmad Parrey Branch Manager Pattan and Syed Farooq Ahmad Branch Manager Sumbal. The felicitation of successful branch managers of Jammu region under this campaign was already done on 22 January 2018 at Jammu.
General Manager JKGB ROK, Ayoub Khan, said that an opportunity of providing banking and insurance services under one roof to our esteemed customers has immensely benefited our customers who were otherwise not covered under health insurance and were exposed to huge costs over their medical expenses.
Vipan Gupta, Head of Financial Inclusion & Insurance Department J&K Grameen Bank, extended his best wishes to the bank officials and team Religare for the campaign. He opined that despite of remarkable coverage of huge clientele base of the Bank under health insurance in the current financial year, there is a wide scope of exploring the untapped potential. He said that J&K Grameen Bank in collaboration with Religare Health is providing the best of health care services across a vast network of 217 branches of the bank.
A large number of customer lives has been covered under various schemes so far. The tie-up is providing cashless services across: 21 empanelled hospitals, across different schemes, including SMVD Narayana Hospital in Jammu region, 10 in Kashmir region, and more than 5400 empanelled hospitals across the country.
Regional Manager Bandipora, Kupwara and Baramulla, assured the management that the stipulated targets will be achieved by the bank well in time without any ill practice. They extended their best wishes to the bank officials and team Religare for the campaign.
