Early Times Report
Poonch, Sept 11: Office of Assistant commissioner Development (ACD) here is said to be hub of corruption where commoners are shown door and influential being entertained for obvious reasons , allegations of backdoor appointments in this office have also come fore sources said here today.
Source said that ACD Mukhtiar Ahmed Sheikh and staff of his office have been allegedly knee deeped in corruption which can be gauged from the fact that ACD remains very much in his office room but his peon keeps door at his office closed with bolt saying people who come from for off places to meet the ACD for their works that ACD was not present in the office who after waiting for some time go away to their homes red faced while influential who come for give and take purposes are allowed to get in his office room by his special peon. Thus using his office and official position for mal practices sources added. I have been coming over to this office continuously for the last one month to get done a small work but I am not allowed to meet the ACD, said one person Riyasat Khan who has been visiting this for the last one month but he is asked that ACD was not present in the office by him peon while he remains very much in his office room claims Riyasat Khan. We are not heard by any one here he rued
Some liable sources also alleged that ACD had appointed many employees including computer operators through backdoor in his office after greasing his palms by them.
They said some time ago district administration of Rajouri has issued an order in under which all the back door appointees were terminated one go said a social worker MR Kazafi, adding I appeal the Director RDD Jammu and District administration of Poonch to issue similar order and show the door to all the backdoor appointees by the ACD Mukhtar Ahmed Sheikh
He further said there were well qualified and capable youth in the district who were supposed to be employed to contain the unemployment he added
