Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 12: An impressive function was organized in the premises of Krishi Bhawan, Talab Tillo, Jammu to pay homage to Bawa Jitto (Baba Jit Mal Dev ji Maharaj) - a legendary saint farmer of the area who made his supreme sacrifice about 650 years ago for rights and justice of the farmers. The function was organized on the occasion of installation of new Image of Baba Jitto in recently renovated Temple dedicated to Him, the epitome of farming community who fought against injustice and suppression by the landlords of that time. The programme was organized jointly by the Agriculture Officers Association, All J & K Agriculture Employees Association, Drivers Union and staff of the Directorate of Agriculture. Speaking on the occasion Director Agriculture Jammu H. K. Razdan lauded and recalled his supreme sacrifice for the farming community. He said that all of us should get inspiration from his life and work to contribute for the betterment of farming community and the society as a whole. He added that Bawa Jitto will always be remembered as a messenger of honesty and truthfulness. A special adoration and worship was performed on the occasion which was followed by distribution of Prasad. Bulesh Zutshi, Joint Director of Agriculture (SLUB), K. S.
