Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Sept 12: At a time when government is providing each facility to the government run schools, some influential persons wants to grab the land of Hussaini Park that is legally under the occupation Imambada Qadeem, and the management of DPS. However, the parents have appealed the governor to intervene into the matter.
According to sources, Delina Public School (DPS) was established in 2010-2012 onwards and that is owned by Auqaf Committee Imambada Qadeem Delina.
A primary school has almost 125 students on roll from nursery to fifth standard, but these tiny tots, they are lacking of space and to crush their co curricular activities, some influential persons who are affiliated with some political party are trying to grab this piece of land for self interests, said sources.
A person who is working in judiciary owns a piece of land where he constructed a shopping complex on highway at Delina had submitted an application before the Ajuman-e Hussaini (Shia Community) Delina requesting for providing land measuring 1 ½ kanal for the purpose of parking and ground facility of engineering students of polytechnic college situated at Ahmad complex Delina, said sources.
Sources said that around 45 years ago, a separate Imambada was formed, Markazi Imambada and Imamb ada Qadeem in Delina Baramulla of north Kashmir's Baramulla district to look after the social affairs.
Sources alleged that owner of this shopping complex is very influential and have political approach too besides his son is an employee in judiciary and he is well aware about how to file fabricated cases against the opponents.
In the past this influential person have misused his official positions and have misinformed the local court about the school management and wants to take control over the private school, and with the result, they want to impose, the centuries old dictatorship rule of, 'HITLER' and have left the students and staff of DPS in trouble, sources told ET.
A group of parents said some months back a government employee was nominated as custodian of DPS School and all accounts were handed over to him, adding the move was totally against the norms and unfortunately the influence is ruined the career of students and the staff of the school at large.
The Governor S P Malik, Chief Secretary, is requested to intervene into the matter so that the future of students can be saved from the clutches of influential persons, who want to close the school for their vested interests, parents added.
