Residents celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi

JAMMU, Sept 17: The residents of Ward No 24, Rehari Colony greeted the people of the State on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi, noting that festivals spread peace and harmony among the society.
The celebrations of such festivals bring people from all walks of life together and spread brotherhood and peace. He said celebration of this festival is successfully encouraged by the great freedom fighter Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak to galvanize support for India's independence movement.
Organisers of the festival appealed to the people to resolve to renew the spirit and vision of the great leader (Tilak) and re-dedicate themselves to the country's development and progress. "May the festivities associated with Ganesh Chaturthi mark the beginning of fresh efforts towards building a new, just, strong and caring India where people live in happiness and harmony," they said adding that Lord Ganesh is considered as symbol of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune.
Among others, who were present on the occasion included Santos, Bhimsen, Partap, Fakir, Trilochan, Kailas, Vijay Kumar, Gurunath, Ravi, Kunal, Saurav, Debrai, Prashant and Kapil.
