Officially on leave, Principal of GDC Pulwama goes on tour

Early Times Report
jammu, Sept 20: The office of Senior Superintendent of Police Pulwama on Tuesday had to investigate the whereabouts of the Principal of Government Degree College Pulwama after rumours of his kidnapping spread in some areas of the south Kashmir district.
Police had to investigate the entire story of his kidnapping and later they found that though in college records the Principal was officially on leave for two days, actually he had been accompanying the students of the college to a trip to Gurez valley.
Sources in the Police headquarters Pulwama informed Early Times that on Tuesday morning they got a news about the alleged kidnapping of the Principal of GDC Pulwama (Boys) Dr. Bashir Ahmed Mir.
"Later we called to the college authorities, who informed that in the college records he was on leave for two days but he was not present in his house at Pampore as well", sources said, adding that later some of the college staff members informed that though he had on leave in college records he had gone along with the educational tour of Geology Department to Gurez Valley.
The police found the news about his kidnapping simply a rumour but questions have been raised over the attitude of Principal, who had been deceiving the higher administration.
"If he had to accompany the students of Geology department, then he should have informed the higher authorities, but it is beyond imagination as why he had decided to take leave from college and went on the tour clandestinely", sources said.
Sources further said that earlier also the Principal of GDC Pulwama (Boys) had gone with an education tour of Geography department to Ladakh and Kargil. "During that time also, he was officially on leave but had accompanied the students of Geography to visit various areas of the Ladakh and Kargil", sources said, adding that even during that trip, a student had met with an accident and was admitted to Soura Medical College. "During that time also, though Principal was with them but he had asked the teachers not to leak the news that he was with them in the tour", sources said.
Sources further said that Principal was very fond of visiting and exploring various areas, so he left no opportunity to visit these places. "If he will apply for permission to the higher authorities, they will not allow him, so he has evolved a new mechanism to visit various places along with educational trips", sources said, adding that Principal held an important position and he must informed the higher authorities about his whereabouts.
