Tainted JA plays truant, refuses to comply official orders

RAJOURI, Oct 19: Despite directions from the Vigilance Organization, probing Mid Day Meal scam, to remove Junior Assistant (JA) from his present post in the office of ZEO, Manjakot and vide CEO Rajouri office order, dated 22/12/17 to attach the JA with his office but he didn't respond and continue to work at the office of ZEO.
Not only this the said JA, Mohd Farooq has not yet handed over the records of various charges he was holding including of MDM despite several notices issued by the Chief Education Officer.
He is also allegedly involved in an embezzlement of funds worth Rs 7.5 lakh withdrawn frequently by him from ZEO Manjakot's Account No CD34 with fake signatures of the ZEO on the invoices and fake entries in the record books.
After his involvement in the embezzlement of Rs 7.5 lakh from ZEO's account, Ch Lal Hussain , CEO has suspended the JA vide his order dated 16/10/18 and attached him at Boys Higher Secondary School at Rajouri till further action from higher authorities.
The JA vide invoices Nos. ZEO/MK.891 dt 14/11/2017 (Rs 3 lakh), ZEO/MK/1470 dt 2/2/18 (Rs 2 lakh) and ZEO/MK/1471 dt 2/2/18 (Rs 2.5 Lakh) withdrew Rs 7.5 lakh from ZEO Manjakot's account No CD 34 by putting his fake signatures and had credited the amount in the account of one teacher namely Mohd Shakeel posted in Middle School at Saroola.
"Junior Assistant later collected the amount from Mohd Shakeel on the pretext that it was wrongly credited in his account and will be deposited again in CD 34 account," said a senior officer. He added when Shakeel came to know about the embezzlement/forgery committed by the JA, he by adopting various tactics retrieved the money back from him and deposited it in ZEO's account.
On the request of Vigilance Organization, CEO Rajouri vide his office order No. CEOR/35959-63 dt 22/12/17 had attached the JA with his office but he didn't respond.
CEO Rajouri on January 1 this year and vide show cause notice dt 3/318 directed the JA to hand over his charges to ZEO Manjakot but he refused to do so.
