Husband gets lifer for killing wife

Jammu, Oct 20: 1st Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Mohan Singh Parihar today awarded life-imprisonment to Kuldeep Raj who murdered his wife along with one Ramesh Lal.
According to the police, Kuldeep Raj S/o Gian Chand was suspecting illicit relations of his wife namely Chanchalo Devi with Ramesh Lal and due to said reason Kuldeep Raj was having strained relations with his wife and he was having enmity with Ramesh Lal. On the said date he assaulted his wife Chanchalo Devi in his own house, when she was cooking meal in the courtyard of the house and murdered her by cutting neck with a sharp edged weapon Parthi. He also assaulted Ramesh Lal with same weapon of offence near his house and seriously injured him, whereafter he died. 1st Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Mohan Singh Parihar after hearing APP Ajay Singh Manhas for the State whereas Adv AK Shan for the accused sentenced the convict namely Kuldeep Raj, age 48 years S/o Gian Chand, caste Bhagat, R/o Rah Salyote, Mohra Thangar, Tehsil Akhnoor to undergo imprisonment for life under Section 302 RPC and with fine of Rs. 5000/-, in default of payment of fine, the convict shall undergo six months simple imprisonment.
