| SAD (Badal) appreciates community for showing solidarity in elections | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 23: A meeting of Shormani Akali Dal (Badal) was held under the chairmanship of Jathedar Mohinder Singh President and appreciated the community members who had unitedly and shown the solidarity in the local body elections.
In a press statement issued here, it states as it is because of the community efforts that nearly nine members had made it to the Jammu Municipal Co-operation and it is hoped that newly elected co-operators will forcefully plead their cases and will work to the expectations of the voters for the development of their respective areas.
Party greets all the successful candidates and hope that they will stand to the expectations of people.
It was due to the constant efforts of the Shormani Akali Dal that a consensus was evolved among the likeminded people of community which proved very fruitful.
In this context several meetings were organized by SAD to have a strategic plan for the contest of elections.
It was further resolved that in the ensuing Panchayati elections, the community will once again unitedly with a mature thought and understanding choose the right representatives in their respective areas so that community participation in these law making institutions is also ensured.
SAD hailed Governor Satya Pal Malik and his administration who conducted the local bodies elections peacefully and in a cordial atmosphere and hope that Panchayati elections will also be conducted similarly and large number of people will participate without any fear sycosis in the every nook and corner of the state. |
