Tributes paid to social worker

akhnoor, Nov 1: Rich tributes were paid to Krishan Lal Sharma, social reformer, employees' leader, member ICELA, comrade, scholar on his 16th death anniversary by Chander Bhaga Sanskriti Manch, Akhnoor.
The function was organized in collaboration with Employees' Welfare Forum, Akhnoor at Brahman Sabha, Akhnoor. A composite Mushaira was organized on this occasion. Rajeev Sharma, MLA, Akhnoor was the chief guest on this occasion. O P Sharma, Director Jammu and Kashmir Centre for Creature Arts presided over the function. Dr. K C Bhagat, Retd. Principal, University of Agriculture Sciences and Technology was the guest of honour.
The poets who recited their poems included Kewal Kumar Kewal, Pawan Kumar, Naseeb Singh, Rattan Bhardwaj, Mohan Bharti, V K Mishra, Hans Raj Sharma 'Hans', Renu Sharma and O P Shakir.
K C Bhagat in his address recollected his memories about Krishan Lal. Other speakers who expressed their views spoke on the occasion included Dr. Tilak Gupta and Baldev Raj. Family members of Late Krishan Lal who attended the programme included Smt. Sheela Devi (wife), Satyinder Kumar, Pawan Kumar and Raman Sharma (sons), Sharda, Sushma and Anju (daughter- in- laws), Swastik Sharma, Parikshit, Aprajit and Astitva (grandsons), Vibhuti (granddaughters) and Taniya (granddaughter- in- law). O P Shakir, President CBSM conducted the proceedings of the programme.
