Govt Polytechnic Doda lifts Volleyball Trophy in "SPORTECH 2018"

JAMMU, Nov 1: On the 4th day of the ongoing 1st Inter Polytechnic Annual Sports Meet "SPORTECH 2018" at Government Polytechnic, Bikram Chowk Jammu matches for different disciplines were palyed.
In Cricket, the 2nd semi-final was played between GP Jammu and GP Udhampur in which GP Jammu won the one-sided match by 10 wickets. The final match will now be played between G P Kishtwar and G P Jammu.
In Table Tennis, the first match of the day was played between Parav Behl from ASC Polytechnic and Aryan Gupta from GP Udhampur in which Aryan Gupta emerged victorious by 11-6, 11-8, 11-7. In the second match, Vishal Dogra from GP Jammu defeated Shivam Harkar from GP Jammu by 11-8, 11-4, 11-1. The overall winner of the tournament was declared as Aryan Gupta from GP Udhampur and runner up was Vishal Dogra from G P Jammu and Parav Bhal from ASC Polytechnic.
In Volley Ball, the first semi-final was played between GP Udhampur and GP Jammu in which GP Udhampur won by 25-22, 22-25, 25-16. The second semi-final was played between GP Doda and ASC Polytechnic Jammu in which GP Doda won by 25-22, 25-17. In the final clash GP Doda defeated GP Udhampur by 25-17, 25-16, 25-12 and won the tournament.
In Carom, the final match (Boys) was played between Azhar Mehmood and Amanjot Singh from GP Jammu and Sahil Dubey and Sorav Sharma from GP Kathua. GP Jammu won the match and were declared as winners of the tournament. The final girls match played between Payal Manhas and Pupinder Kour from GP Jammu and Liza Talashi and Lara Talashi from GWP Jammu. GWP Jammu won the match and were declared as winners.
In Badminton, GP Jammu Girls team and GWP Jammu girls team reached the finals in which in Singles Nancy Koul from GP Jammu won the match against Farheen from GWP Jammu by 16-7 & 16-10. In doubles Zeenat and Nehhan from GWP Jammu defeated Kiran and Taniya from GP Jammu by 21-18, 21-13 & 21-15.
In Rangoli competition, the first prize was shared by the team of Payal Manhas, Sakshi Sathoo, Kiran, Shikha, Neha Mora, Rizwana and Ayushi from GP Jammu and Sakshi Manhas, Shabnam
Digra, Sonali Sharma, Sunpreet Kour, Sana Gupta, Simran, Shruti Gupta, Riya Bhat, Sanjana and Samiksha from GWP Jammu
In Wall Painting competition, the first prize was won by Vinay Bhargav, while the team of Sunil Kumar Sangral, Imran Tariq, Akshay and Anuradha and the team of Swati, Sapna, Shivam, Gurjeet and Kamal from GP Jammu shared the 2nd prize. The competition was judged by Ar. Ritika Wadera, Er. Akash Dusgotra, Er. Amit Sharma and Er. Jasdeep Kour.
