3rd National Ayurved day observed in Govt Ayurvedic Hospital, Jammu

JAMMU, Nov 5: A grand programme organised to observed 3rd National Ayurved day by Government Ayurvedic Hospital, Jammu on the occasion of Bhagwan Sri Dhanwantri Jayanti with full devotion.
In this programme Ayurvedic Physicians, retired doctors belonging to all associations of Ayurvedic doctors, in-service doctors & Paramedics,staff of Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital and district Jammu and from Health Department took part actively. Hawan on the occasion was performed by Pt. Parshotam Sharma.
MLA Rajesh Gupta and Chief whip of BJP legislative party was the chief guest on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion he assured the medical superintendent of hospital that he has already provided about Rs 4.65 Lakh for development of Live Plant Demo Park named as Dhanwantri Kunj, he will provide more funds from his CDF for the promotion of Ayurved which is our ancient and time tested medical science. He said that Prime Minister Modi has created separate AYUSH ministry in Government of India, he will persuade J&K govt. to create separate ministry for AYUSH in J&K too. He inaugurated the Dhanwantri Kunj.
Dr. O.P. Sharma Vidiarthi IFS Director J&K SFRI who was the special Guest on the occasion, distributed saplings of medicinal plants amoung the people participating in the programme. 200 plant saplings were distributed.
Dr. Taran Singh Medical Superintendent of Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital, Jammu while speaking on the occasion said that Dhanwantri Kunj was an idea to make aware people about the uses of medicinal plants, its identification etc.He thanked Sh. Rajesh Gupta for extending his support in the shape of funds for creation of one of its own kind of herbal demo park which demonstrates properties, uses, and identification of plants, specimen of part used as medicine and live plant as well at one place and one time.
