The officer also violated model code of conduct (MCC) by not relieving local officials despite orders of District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO).
According to sources, during said period payment of Rs 1.25 crores, has been released by the BDO Seri. "But in reply of an RTI application, the BDO vide no BDO/SERI/2018-19/629, dated 27/10/2018, he out rightly said that no payment during above said period has been released", sources said and added that according copy of financial performance under MGREGA during the Financial year 2018-19 in possession of Early Times reveals that Rs 125.49 lacs stands paid.
They further said that in reply to RTI various queries related to release of payment were intentionally concealed by the BDO. "It smells something fishy, why the BDO concealed the sought information, that otherwise should be made public", they said.
Sources further said that the BDO Seri, Puran Chand, who is also holding additional charge of BDO Lamberi, home town of MLA Nowshera and BJP State President, Ravinder Raina, retained local employees in violation of MCC. "Block officials, other than village level workers (VLWs), will not be all to continue in the block, while the VLWs will be shifted to another Panchyat of the block to avoid any biasness", they said and added that but some officials, in Lamberi block are also continuing in their home block and Panchyat as well.
