Udhampur, Nov 14: The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Ramnagar has taken cognizance of Early Times report published in its Nov 12 edition titled 'MCC violation: Govt employees campaign Panchayati elections'.
In an order issued here other day, the SDM Ramnagar, Farrukh Qazi has stated that his office has received complaints that government employees are involved in Panchayat elections-2018. The SDM instructed all the officers/officials under his jurisdiction to not get involved in any type of political activity else strict action against such delinquent employees as per the law shall be taken. It is pertinent to mention here that in open violation of MCC, the government employees were seen campaigning for certain candidates for the upcoming Panchayati elections here. Sub-District Magistrate Basantgarh has already attached one such employee. The SDM Ramnagar has further instructed the employees to strictly follow MCC.
