Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 22: Adbi Kunj held a special literary meet here, today. A renowned artist Ved Uppal presided over the meet while Bishan Dass Khak conducted the proceeding of the meet. At the outset, Sham Talib president Adbi Kunj Jammu described Adbi Kunj as a citadel of learning for young and budding poet and writers of all languages and it was in the context some young and upcoming poets presented their ghazals which include Uttam Singh Rahi, Jatinder Kumar Bassan, Rajeev Kumar. Another renowned literary personality Mohamad Sarwar Chohan while reciting their Gojari and Urdu kalam highlighted the constructive role of Adbi Kunj in promoting the values of humanism and spreading the message of love and brotherhood through creative writing through their weekly meet. In the composite poetic session, the poets who recited their different kalam included Aarash Dalmotra, Sarwar Chohan Habeeb, Ved Uppal, Bishan Dass Khak, Raj Kamal, Sanjeev Kumar, S.K. Gupta, Uttam Singh Rahi, Rajeev Kumar, K.R.Salgotra, Jatinder Kumar Bassan and Sham Talib. Uring the meet, Ved Uppal specially sang two Urdu and Punjabi Ghazals included 1. "Khuavan-Che-Tou-Ay-Khilayan-Che-Tou-Ay-Jabawan-Che-Tou-Ay-Sawan-Che-Tou-Ay" by Ved Uppal (Punjabi) 2. Urdu Ghazal 2. "Nigahe-Deed-Ke-Sadke-Koi-Manzar-Nahin-Aata-Mere-Chrhra-Tere-Shishe-Se-Ho-Kar-Nahin-Aata" of Sham Talib. In the last, a condolence meeting also held in which Adbi Kunj condoled the sad demise of renowned poet Raj Kumari Sehgal. The meet concluded with prayers for the peace of her departed soul. |
