Magisterial probe ordered into Rajouri hospital incident

Rajouri, Nov 28: District administration of Rajouri today ordered a magisterial probe into the scuffle between attendants and doctors that threatened to vitiate the law and order situation at District Hospital Rajouri.
According to reports, scuffle took place after road accident victims were brought to the hospital.
Sources said that incident took place after the attendants accused doctors of seeking operation fee before admitting the patients and the situation took an ugly turn as the attendants and doctors exchanged blows.
After getting the information, police immediately reached the spot and resorted to mild lathi-charge in a bid to bring the situation under control.
Later, Deputy Commiss-ioner (DC) Rajouri-Mohammad Aijaz and SSP Rajouri-Yougal Manhas among other officials visited the hospital and pacified the situation.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rajouri-Mohammad Aijaz ordered a magisterial probe into the incident. "In order to ascertain the facts before taking necessary action under the law, a magisterial probe is ordered hereby," reads the order issued by the Deputy Commissioner adding that the inquiry was entrusted to additional District Magistrate, Rajouri Sher Singh.
"The Inquiry officer shall take the services of Mehmood Reyaz (KAS) Tehsildar Rajouri and Dr. Mehmood Hussain Bajar Medical Superintendent District Hospital Rajouri to bring inquiry to a conclusive end," the Deputy Commissioner said in the order. The Inquiry shall be completed within a period of 3 days positively," the order further reads.
