Illegal appointments in Khansahib: Govt yet to act against BMOs
11/30/2018 10:50:10 PM
Early Times Report
budgam, Nov 30: Authorities are yet to initiate action against the Block Medical Officers (BMOs) who have been involved in illegal appointments under hospital development fund (HDF) in Khansahib block of Budgam district from past several years.
As reported already by Early Times, the BMOs had been playing hide and seek over an RTI application filed to seek details of backdoor appointments in the medical block Khansahib. The aggrieved unemployed FMPHW have been knocking the doors of authorities, but in vain.
The illegal appointments under HDF in Khansahib have become talk of the town. Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Budgam was under tremendous pressure to show door to these backdoor appointees, but after his retirement the matter was not at all pursued by his successor.
Deputy Commissioner Budgam has already written to CMO Budgam to inquire into the matter. The BMO is yet to respond to DC's letter which she had marked to CMO Budgam.
The BMO Khansahib who is the custodian of all the records and official documents in his block had denied to share information under RTI Act regarding backdoor appointment of more than 100 persons under HDF.
As reported already, in a brazen violation of the recruitment rules and also without the approval of the competent authorities, more than 100 persons were illegally appointed under HDF in Khansahib medical block. Sources say neither any interview nor any written test was conducted while making these appointments.
From March 2018 till July end as many as 100 'blue-eyed' boys and girls were appointed in various capacities in Sub District Hospital (SDH) Khansahib and several primary health centers (PHCs) of Khanshaib medical block. Sources say that BMOs posted in Khansahib in past are said to be involved in this scam.
