DPS Nagbani holds Physical Fitness Sessions

Jammu, Dec 5: Physical education and fitness have significant impact on the students' performance in school life. The aim of physical fitness sessions was to help the students to develop healthy habits which will serve them in long run. Realizing the importance of participation in physical fitness which is crucial for the holistic development of young students to nurture their physical, social, emotional as well as intellectual side, a two days physical fitness sessions were organized in the school campus.
The sessions were conducted by Viraaj Verma, Rohit verma and Shwetank Mahajan who were the members of Viraaj fitness team. The sessions were the combination of physical movement instructions, team building games, and discussion on health and well-being. The games included instructions in practical and functional movement, balance, breathing and stress management, with fun solo, partner and group based activities. While working with the students, the team tried to engage them with fun and challenging fitness activities. Using these fitness games, the instructors taught them coordination, balance and also made them learn how to improve their functional movement patterns while having good time. The training was an eye opener which broadens the horizon of children regarding physical fitness.
