Udhampur, Dec 9: Destitute And Handicapped Welfare Association (DAHWA) convened its monthly rural awareness cum pension redressal camp at Majalta which participated by a large number of people from different villages of Majalta tehsil. During the camp, the DAHWA team filled up life certificates of several old aged, widows, handicapped and other pensioners besides other development issues were raised and deliberated upon in detail. People from several villages including Channi Mansar, Majalta, Badi Garh, Sail Kouri Bair, Dhamma, Nili, Bharnara, Paletar, Palnoo, Babey, Chor Panjian, Chor Motu, Ghar Samnabanj, Kail and adjoining areas highlighted their issues regarding irregularities in pension cases besides other welfare matters. The people raised a number of issues related to welfare and development of their respective areas and sought intervention of DAHWA team in redressal of the same. They expressed gratitude to the organization for holding rural awareness cum public grievances redressal camps in these rural areas thus providing a platform to them to raise their concerns conveniently. DAHWA Chairperson, S.S.Sumbria, took stock of grievances of people of these rural areas regarding pensions and other welfare and development issues. He assured them that DAHWA will take up all their issues with the concerned authorities for an early redressal. The DAHWA team was comprised of Om Parkash, Subhash Chander Anil Sharma and Pritam Chand.
