Jammu, Dec 9: Annual general body meeting of Association for Welfare of Senior Citizen was held at Jammu Club, in which election of the new team of office bearers for the year 2018-20 was also held successfully.
Two of patrons of the Association OP Modi and VJ Gour and a member YP Gupta had passed away during the year. To pay tributes and pray for the departed souls a two minutes silence and prayer was held.
H.B. Khajuria Sr. Patron of the Association was renominated as Chief Patron and AK Arora outgoing President and founder member of the association was also opted as Patron. Prem Gupta I.P.S (Rtd.) was also opted as Patron unanimously.
Election was to be held for the post of President, Vice President (2), Gen. Secretary, Treasurer, Jt. Secretary (2). All the office bearers were elected unanimously and the members elected were, J.S. Sudan, President, S.K. Jain and Chander Parkash Sharma as Vice President, S. R.S. Broca, Treasurer and P.N. Jalla and Smt. Nirmal Mahajan as Jt. Secretary. Executive Members of the working committee shall be nominated by the elected office bearers later on. |
