Jammu, Dec 9: Management staff and students of Raina Higher Secondary School, Paloura organized its prize distribution function today. Thakur Shamsher Singh, MP (Rajya Sabha) was the Chief Guest on the occasion. BD Raina, General Secretary, Private School Association presided over the function. The programme started with the welcome address by Ravind Raina. Thakur Shamsher Singh, inaugurated the function with Jyote ceremony. The Children presented a colourful variety of Programs which included Sarasvati Vandana, Patriotic Dance, Dogri Dance, Kashmiri Dance, Rajasthani Dance, Punjabi Bhangrra, Giddha etc. Shamsher Singh, and BD Raina, distributed the prizes among the merit holder students. In his address, the Chief Guest appreciated the performance of the School. He also had a word of appreciation for the performance of the children who participated in various cultural programmes. He advised the teachers to work hard and give student better education with love and affection. He also advised the students to come up to the expectation of their teachers and parents. B.D. Raina, General Secretary Private School Association appreciated the performance of the School in as far as School produced good number of brilliant students over the years. He said that Norms of the Recognition and Affiliation of the Private Schools should be liberalized so that education reaches the door steps of the poor and neglected people. |
