KAS Mains-2016 results row | Aspirants demand judicial probe, disbanding of JKPSC | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 9: Aggrieved KAS aspirants today organized a mass protest rally from Jammu University to Bikram Chowk against the recent declaration of KAS Mains-2016 results by Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission. The JKPSC declared the result of KAS Mains-2016 on December 4 last and after the declaration of results aspirants have alleged that many candidates who despite performing well in all the Optional and General Studies paper have not been shortlisted for personal interviews. The aspirants have alleged that either it is a mass error or a scam while aspirants have also apprehended that JKPSC has adopted an irrational and arbitrary methodology of scaling whereby many meritorious candidates who despite performing well in their exams have been shown the door. The aggrieved aspirants have also alleged that JKPSC hired a PR team to normalize the result at the last moment. They also alleged that the PR team adopted an irrational way of scaling. A delegation of aggrieved aspirants also met with the Governor and requested him to intervene in this matter. The Governor has appointed a Committee under advisor KK Sharma to look into this matter. The aspirants have demanded an independent judicial enquiry and also requested the Governor to stall the interview process until the matter is resolved. The interviews are scheduled for December 20. The aspirants have been on state wide protests demanding an independent judicial inquiry and disband the whole commission. |
