Local unemployed youths hold protest against JP Management | | | Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Dec 14: The local unemployed Youths under the banner of CHPPWU held a strong protest against the JP management at Shalimar Kishtwar and demanded absorption of local unemployed youths and to those workers who were retrenched by the JP management from Dool-Hasti power project. Speaking to Early Times, the angry protestors said that the main agenda of the agitation of today's protest is to ensure abolishing of sublet system in 1000 MW Pakal-Dool project, to stop JP company to direct transferring its worker from Baglihar site to Pakal-Dool and Union is demanding to stop transfer policy and absorption of retrenched workers which have been retrenched by JP company in 2007 wherein an agreement was made between union and management that if company will get work on Pakal-Dool Power project in future, the retrenched workers will be re-employed added that company is breaching its own agreement and demanded for the implementation of said agreement in letter and spirit. The protesters said that in view of above facts, union is going to stop the shifting of machineries from Shalimar workshop to Dangduru project site till company will get ready to implement the agreement added that if anything occurred during the agitation, the administration and management of JP company along with AFCON management will be responsible. |
