5 drivers booked for overloading

Rajouri, Dec 18: Rajouri police today booked five passenger vehicle drivers for resorting to overloading in Thanamandi and Darhal area.
SSP Rajouri-Yougal Manhas said that a team of police headed by SHO Darhal-Habib Pathan under the supervision of SDPO Thanamandi-Iftikar Chowdhary was on routine patrolling on Rajouri - Darhal road when two vehicles were found overloaded with passengers.
A case under FIR No 97/2018 under sections 279 and 336 of RPC has been registered against driver Mohammad Bashir resident of Budh Khanari in tehsil Darhal who was driving a magic auto bearing registration number JK11C-7044 and another case under FIR 98/2018 under sections 279 and 336 of RPC has been registered against driver Tasleem Arif resident of Dodaj Darhal who was driving a vehicle Eco bearing registration number JK11B 6949, said SSP.
Similarly, police team of Thanamandi police station headed by SHO Nazir Ahmad Dar under the supervision of SDPO Thanamandi-Iftikar Chowdhary intercepted three vehicles which were heavily overloaded and FIRs have been registered against the drivers.
Three FIRs under sections 279 and 336 of RPCs have been registered against drivers in police station Thanamandi, said SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas.
The drivers have been as Zaheer Abass of resident of Behrote and driver of minibus bearing registration number JK02 4046, Mohammad Rafiq resident of Behrote and driver of vehicle minibus bearing registration number JK02P-8372 and third driver who was driving Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK12-1787.
