1/3/2019 10:08:45 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 3: Senior Congress leader and former minister Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today said that BJP and its leadership should stop showing false hopes to the people of J&K and come out of fool's paradise. While reacting to the recent statement by BJP state president in which he said that next Chief Minister of J&K will be from BJP, Sharma lambasted BJP by saying that they have old habits of making false promises, playing with sentiments and showing what we call 'Sabzbaag' to the common masses.
He said last time also BJP played on communal lines by promising that the CM of J&K will be from Jammu division but once they came to power they betrayed the mandate by people and made complete u-turn on their pre-poll promises just for lust of chair. He further said during previous elections BJP lured the common masses of state and country by doing promises like abrogation of article 370, article 35A, 2 crore employment annually, 5 Marlas plot each to the border people affected from cross border firing, Rs 15 lakhs to each citizen and many more but once they came to power they took u-turn from said promises and named them as 'Jumlas'.
He further lambasted previous BJP- PDP coalition which failed on all fronts in the state adding that their rule was one of the worst eras for the people of the state.
He said people of the state has understood the nefarious and hollow slogans of BJP and they will teach BJP a lesson in upcoming elections as they are deeply hurt and betrayed by J&K BJP for letting them down for the sake of power.
