JAMMU, Jan 5: A two days workshop aimed at continuing education programme/refresher course for registered pharmacist was conducted in the auditorium of IIIM Canal Road Jammu. The event was organized by J&K Pharmacy Council in collaboration with Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). Atal Dullo, Principal Secretary Health and Medical Education was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, they lamented on the issues of Healthcare revolving around the contributions of Para medicos. The need to adopt Education Regulations envisaged under State Pharmacy Act was highlighted by Lotika Khajuria, Controller Drugs cum President J&K Pharmacy Council. She requested the apex pharmacy council representatives to remove the disparities and anomalies that exists in the present scenario viz a viz Pharmacists serving in other parts of the country at the earliest earnest. Dr. Abdul Kabir Dar, Commissioner Food Safety J&K, A.K.Koul, Presiding Officer Food Safety Appellate Tribunal, I.S. Chauhan Executive Member Pharmacy Council of India and K.V.Gupta, Ex Drug Controller spoke on the occasion and highlighted the role and responsibilities associated with practice and profession of Pharmacy. |
