Early Times Report

KARGIL, Jan 6: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil, Feroz Ahmed Khan on Sunday said that an effective triangle partnership among the school management, parents and students becomes mandatory if the overall development of children is to be accomplished in the true sense.
The CEC stated this after releasing a short film entitled Metsay Tontaq (My Aim in Life) based on the importance of parents role in school management at Syed Mehdi Memorial Hall, Kargil.
The film produced by Government High School Minjee and directed by the first National School of Drama graduate from Kargil Kacho Ahmad Khan focuses on continued coordination between parents and teachers to improve educational success. It was produced as part of a programme which was organized by District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Kargil in collaboration with Government High School Minjee and Ranthag Theatre Group Kargil under Community Mobilization and SMDC Training of SAMAGRA SHIKSHA and was attended by twenty school management committee members of Kargil Zone.
Hailing the Principal of High School Minjee and the production team involved with the film for this initiative, the CEC said that trust and mutual understanding between parents and teachers is the real secret of a child's happy and successful learning.
The CEC said that active support and cooperation from parents towards teachers undoubtedly plays a pivotal role to connect, understand and work towards bringing remarkable changes in children and school activities.
Feroz Khan said that parents of some of the government schools in Kargil like Lankore, Biathang and Karith etc are doing the same in their respective areas which has resulted in the successful functioning of schools on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Mode. This he stated has set an example and should prove a torch bearer for other villages of the district to work towards the betterment of Government Schools in their respective areas.
The CEC further said that the Hill Council is committed to give impetus to quality education as it is the only way to achieve real progress. He said that various initiatives are underway to give impetus to the growth of quality education and to ensure that more Government schools come up on the PPP mode.
Among others who were present on the occasion included Councillor Tai Suru Syed Abbass Razvi, Councillor Minjee Sheikh Ghulam Mehdi, Principal DIET Kargil Mohammad Ali Bhuttoo, Zonal Education Officer Shargole Mehfooz Ali Khan, teachers, students, parents and other people in large numbers who liked the concept and appreciated the film with rousing applauses.
The cinematography and editing of the film was done by Ilyas Ansari, SAMA and Mustafa Solihi.
