JAMMU, Jan 11: Police lodged an FIR against Bhartiya Janata Party leader Aditi Sharma over allegedly barging into a temple here.
Police said that an FIR No. 03/2019 under sections 448, 382, 147 and 427 of RPC has been registered at Nowabad police station against BJP leader who is also President of Aditi Welfare India Charitable Trust-Aditi Sharma and others on a complaint of a complainant Radhey Sham son of Chandi Parshad resident of Uttra Khand president of Pujari Shiv Mandir Tirth Nagar Talab Tillo Jammu.
Sources told that on the complaint of Mandir Pujari who alleged that Aditi along with Tirth Kumar son of Des Raj resident of Tirath Nagar Talab Tillo Jammu, Neel Choudhary resident unknown, Mulkh Raj and Dilip Singh resident unknown barged in the temple premises with a vested interest.
Meanwhile, Aditi through a press statement stated that there is a malicious and politically motivated allegation leveled against her by an outsider functioning as priest at the who had been told to vacate the temple premises at Shiv Temple, Tirath Nagar, Tallab Tillo, Jammu by the Shiv Shakti Sarwdharm Welfare Trust with its Head Office at Tirath Nagar, Tallab Tillo, Jammu which duly passed a resolution to this effect in September 2018. "I wish to clarify that as member of the trust, I had only visited the temple to inspect the conditions, in fact, and certain members of press accompanied me on my visit", said Aditi.
She further said that she wishes to point out that role of certain police personnel needs independent scrutiny as they are alleged to have helped some unscrupulous elements to interfere in working of the trust in violation of court orders.
