Surgery performed in GMC Jammu without proper dress code
1/12/2019 11:35:14 PM
Early Times Report
jammu, Jan 12: It sounds strange but true that the doctors of Government Medical College are leaving no stone to malign the image of the hospital by not following the mandatory guidelines for last many years.
A photograph of the Surgery Operation Theater is telling the real picture of the hospital that how doctors and concerned management are concerned about the safety of the patients from infections and obey the compulsory guidelines.
Pertinently, yesterday (Friday) a doctors' team of the surgery department of the GMC Jammu had conducted a surgery of a boy, who was suffering with Neck Torticollis, but unfortunately that boy did not get proper attire from the concern authority before conducting surgery putting boy as well as others at great infection risk.
"Not only this, proper sterilizations including dress and others were ignored while conducting surgery but no one was there to pay the attention toward serious issue during operation neither doctors nor other staff members," an official, seeking anonymity told Early Times, asked if infection will take place.
He further added that there is guideline for proper attire for doctors as well as patients during conducting surgery just to control the infection but surprisingly there are complaints that some time patients do not get complete dress to wear before surgery. Either trouser (Pajama) is there shirt is out of stock or shirt is there trouser is not in the GMC Jammu but it seems patients lives are taking for granted
