PoK DPs indefinite chain dharna enters into day 20
1/15/2019 10:33:09 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 15: S. O. S. International an Organization for PoK Displaced Persons (Regd) has entered into 20th day of indefinite dharna for the resolution of legitimate demands under the constitutional rights under Chairmanship of Rajiv Chuni. Today's dharna has been lead by Om Parkash Saraf from Sunderbani assisted by Pt. Kewal Krishan, Mohan Singh, Parshotam Singh, Arjun Singh and Bishan Bakshi. At the very outset the team leader lambasted the arrogant attitude of BVJP MLA's and MP's who under the greed and intoxication of power have totally disconnected with refugee community.
More than 80% of this population living under most miserable condition under poverty line has been completely ignored by these power hungry politicians of BJP regime. Though we made them "RAJAS" but they have forgotten their "PRAJYA" who are mostly on verge of starvation but these power hungry leaders never cared to address their genuine demands. Om Parkash Saraf further stated that these people who are now known as refugee left their moveable and immovable properties with ardent hope that they connected themselves with India who will take care of their needs and compensate them honorably but despite lapse of over seven decades now their genuine grievances have not been addressed by BJP Government. Even rumors are being floated that Rs. 5.5 lakhs has only been disbursed by the present regime but the same is not correct as the process for disbursement of compensation was started much before the centre government came into power so no favour has been imparted by the present BJP government.
