Manhas reviews functioning of CVPP

JAMMU, Jan 21: In order to redress various issues and successful operationalisation of Hydroelectric Power Projects being initiated in the Chenab Basin, Member Parliament, Shamsher Singh Manhas who is also Parliamentary Standing Committee member for energy convened a meeting at Chenab Valley Power Projects Private Limited (CVPP) Bhawan Jammu.
The meeting was attended by MD CVPP, M S Babu, CGM PB Jain and Rahila Wani besides General Managers of different Branches including GM Kwar Project DP Mourya.
During the meeting a detailed Power Point Presentation was made highlighting the working module, Project operationalisation, present status, employment generation, R&R Plan, hindrances and pending approvals from Centre.
It was briefed that presently 1000 MW Pakal Dool Hydroelectric Power Project has already been started and work on the allotted areas is in full swing by both the contracting agencies and till date most of the Machines and allied tools have reached the sites.
MP Manhas also met a number of deputations and representations. He assured that the important concerns and issues raised will be addressed and taken up with the Central Government for their speedy redressal.
