Srinagar, Jan 28: Traffic authorities on Monday said traffic will ply from Srinagar towards Jammu on Srinagar-Jammu highway on Tuesday.
"Traffic movement on Jammu-Srinagar NHW on 29.01.19 from Srinagar towards Jammu both for LMVs/HMVs ; LMVs from Pantha Chowk, Peaks Chowk 0600 hrs to 1130 hrs, from Levdora 0700 hrs to 1300 hrs HMVs from Levdora 1330 hrs to 1900 hrs subject to weather/road condition," the traffic police department said in a statement.
The statement said no movement of any type of vehicle shall be allowed from the opposite direction. The commuters are requested to avoid travelling during night hours.
However, Leh-Srinagar highway, connecting Ladakh region with the valley, and historic Mughal road remained closed for traffic due to the accumulation of several feet of snow.
People are requested to undertake a journey only after confirming the status of the road from below mentioned phone Nos.
