Police organises PCPG meeting in Sangaldan

Ramban, Jan 30: To strengthen the Police Public relations and to bring people nearer to the Police for better output in prevention and detection of crime, a PCPG meeting was held by Mohd Rafi Giri-SDPO Gool and Incharge police post Sangaldan-SI Sumeet Sharma under the supervision of Sanjay Parihar-Addl. SP Ramban and overall supervision of Anita Sharma-SSP Ramban.
Police spokesman said that the meeting was attended by respectables, civil society members, market association members sarpanches, Panches and other stakeholders of the area.
"The participants raised various issues concerning public of the area like road maintenance, drainage, issue of transformer, installation of new electric poles, removal of plastic plates from road, requirement of transport for school going students, play ground for children, shortage of staff and other basic facilities at Sangaldan Hospital, unemployment of the youth, employment of local youths in construction companies like PATAIL,GAMMON Co, IRCON, AFCON and issue of drug menace among others for necessary action through concerned departments. The grievances of all the participants were listened patiently and were assured that their genuine demands will be communicated to the senior officers for redressal", said spokesman.
After giving patient hearing of all the issues of locals, SDPO Gool praised and congratulated the participants and people of the area for maintaining peace and communal harmony in the area over the last so many years while standing against all odds and challenges, said spokesman.
He said that different construction companies engaged by government involved in making railway track and tunnel have added to the development of the area and created job avenues for the local people. He appreciated the role of the people in cooperating with these companies in making this national railway project which will connect valley with the rest of India a success. He assured the participants that mitigating the problems of the people of the area would be always first priority and every step shall be taken which will ensure the peace, development and tranquillity in the area. He sought the cooperation of the people in identifying the social evils like drug menace, anti-social and anti-national elements to nip them in the bud in the larger interest of the society. He assured that all issues raised shall be addressed on priority and those pertaining to higher-ups and civil administration shall be brought in their notice. All participants were thanked for sparing their precious time and attending the meeting.
