Public interaction meetings held at Nowshera, Bajabain

Rajouri, Jan 31: Continuing with its efforts of strengthening public relations, Jammu and Kashmir Police in Rajouri district convened two separate public interaction (PCPG) meetings at Nowshera and Bajabain Sunderbani.
In Nowshera town, Sub Divisional Police Officer Nowwhera, Brijesh Sharma held a public interaction meeting at dak bangalow Nowshera along with other officers including Executive Officer Municipal Committee Nowwhera, Chairman Municipal Committee Nowshera, SHO Nowshera Amin Malik and Incharge PP Bhawani, SI Ashish Choudhary.
In this meeting, a large number of people from Nowshera town participated who included all newly elected councillors and shopkeepers of the town. Local people raised various issues which include traffic problem at Nowshera town, creation of parking lots in town, repairing of sports stadium Nowshera, action against traffic norms violators, installation of CCTV cameras at Nowshera town.
Addressing the meeting, SDPO Nowshera informed the locals that meeting has been convened on the directions of SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas with an aim to strengthen the relations with people living in border areas and to reach on their doorsteps to listen their grievances. Officers also said that all the grievances put forth by participants in the meeting will be put before concerned departments through district administration so as to solve these at the earliest.
He also asked people to help police in eradication of drug menace from the society and also assured that all their issues will be put before concerned departments through district administration. Another interaction meeting with people was held at Bajabain village of Sunderbani which was chaired by SHO Sunderbani Romal Singh. Various issues were discussed in the meeting with main aim of strengthening relation between police and public for smooth maintenance of law and order in the area.
