| Lohal Baliya people seek replacement to 45-yr-old foot bridge | | |  MS Nazki

Poonch, Feb 8: People of Lohal Baliya Village in Tehsil Mandi are up in arms against teshil and district administration for neglecting them on the front of development. For four decades, they have failed to get a permanent bridge to connect with other areas of the district.
Mandi a backward Teshil of district Poonch has a hilly terrain and lacks basic facilities including water and power . Being a far flung area it has been neglected on the developmental front also. People of the villages have expressed their resentment against government for its failure to provide the basic facilities to these villages.
They said for the last 45 years we have been using this foot bridge for all purposes yet no government felt the need to construct a bridge permanently to ensure connectivity for these remote villages. |
