Art Exhibition inaugurated at Kala Kendra

JAMMU, Feb 9: An Art Exhibition of Paintings, Photography and Installations titled 'Reality of Life and Strokes' by Vijay Singh, was inaugurated at Kala Kendra, Jammu by the chief guest Prof. Satnam Kaur, Principal, Institute of Music and Fine Arts, Jammu. Senior artists Bhushan Kesar, Jang S. Verman and Rakesh Sharm were the guests of honour on this occasion. Artists, art students and art lovers were present in the inaugural function. A total of 52 art works in acrylics, photography and mixed media have been displayed in the show. Through his art pieces Vijay Singh has depicted human emotions through his symbolic expressions. Works like 'Alone', 'My First Experience' and other works comment on the themes of almost all the trivial aspects of life and the concepts of art. He has painted and created sculpture at will without any fixed style and boundaries to speak out himself.
Vijay Singh started practicing art under the guidance of Bhushan Kesar, a senior artist at Kesar Art Cicle, Jammu. Kesar guided him to join art course at Institute of Music and fine Arts (IMFA), Jammu. Vijay completed his Bachelor's Degree in Painting from there and has displayed his talent in Display your talent Competitions, Zonal Art Competitions and participated in Installation competition in University at Kanpur and other art events. Speaking on this occasion Prof. Satnam Kaur appreciated his approaches in his art works. She said that Vijay is to go a long way in his life for which he has taken a positive step in a right direction at right time. She appreciated the parents of Vijay who backed his creative initiatives from the very childhood. Sh. Jang S. Verman and Rakesh Sharma also expressed their views on this occasion.
