Pro-Pakistan slogans in Jammu: Team Jammu asks authorities to take action against culprits
2/12/2019 10:38:40 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 12: Taking strong exception of shouting pro-Pakistan and anti-national slogans by some miscreants near GGM Science College, Team Jammu today demanded strict action against those who were involved in such provocative activities and cautioned administration against adopting casual approach in singling out such culprits.
Addressing a meeting of students, chairman of Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal regretted that instead of taking action against those indulged in shouting anti-national slogans; cops have targeted students who were protesting against anti-India elements. "Lathicharge on student was uncalled for. We strongly condemned provocative action of the police", Zorawar Singh Jamwal said and warned authorities against stifle voice of nationalist forces in Jammu.
Extending full support to the agitating students, Zorawar Singh Jamwal asked the authorities to identity those who had shouted pro-Pakistani slogans within stipulated time as this action has created fear among residents of Jammu region who have accommodated people from across the state. "Since inception of terrorism in State, people from all regions and sub-regions of the State have taken refuge in peaceful Jammu region which has always set an example of brotherhood and communal harmony", he said and cautioned that some elements from the Kashmir Valley, at the behest of some Kashmir based political parties, were hell bent to disrupt peace in Jammu.
Among others including Er.Chandan Datta, Rajesh Kapoor, Sanjay Sharma, Surinder Sharma, Sunil Singh Raipuria, Yogesh Kumar, Ishaan Choudhary, Akshay Gupta, Dr.Ashish Gupta, Bhanu Partap Singh, and Ashok Kumar were also present in the meeting.
