| Reasi Police nab notorious drug smuggler | | | Early Times Report
Reasi, Feb 16: In its continued drive to eradicate the drug menace in Reasi town, launched against the drug peddlers, today on 16/2/2019, when reckee of the adjoining areas was being conducted, a suspicious movement was noted and the person creating suspicion was intercepted by a team lead by Dr. Nikhil Gogna DySP Hqrs Reasi at Saldi, Bhaga, Distt Reasi who along with his PSOs and driver were patrolling on the road. The person intercepted was identified as Kesar S/o Beli Ram R/o Bhaga who was searched thoroughly and a polythene bag was checked upon which 26 Challies of Charas (Cannabis) were recovered from his possession, after which a docket was sent to the police station for registration of FIR. Consequent to which a police team lead by Insp Ashwani Sharma, SHO Reasi went to the spot for further investigation of the case. The CHARAS weighed around 520 grams ( approx). In this regard a case FIR No.37/2019 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was lodged in Police station Reasi. and investigation has been set into motion. The operation was carried out under the direct supervision of Dr Nikhil Gogna DySP Hqrs Reasi, Shiv Kumar Chouhan ASP Reasi, and under the overall supervision of SSP Reasi Nisha Nathyal. |
