JKHCBA stages protest for 4th consecutive day
2/18/2019 10:32:31 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 18: On the fourth day, the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association (JKHCBA) staged peaceful protest demonstration against attack on CRPF convoy.
According to press release, in-spite of imposition of curfew by the District administration large number of lawyers gathered in front of the main gate and held a peaceful protest.
The speakers were infuriated on the unwarranted approach of JKAP in taking biased action against the peaceful nationalists raising pro-India and anti-Pakistan slogans while giving a leeway and protection to the anti-nationals who were raising anti-national and provocative slogans.
"The lawyers in one voice urged upon the Governor and Administration to bring to book all those anti-national elements who are trying to vitiate the otherwise peaceful atmosphere of Jammu and trying to disturb the centuries old communal harmony and brotherhood in the region", they said.
The speakers were unanimous in resolving that come what may they would neither allow nor tolerate anyone to raise anti-nationals slogans and further deprecated the malicious campaign by the few vested to give the present protest a communal colour.
It was asserted that the elements who are out to exploit the situation on communal lines need to be identified and booked/proceeded under law. The speakers also eulogized the valour and courage of Armed Forces in tackling with the militancy and urged the Government to deal with them with a firm hand so that the militancy is wiped out from the state.
BS Slathia urged upon the Centre & State Government that the Security forces should be given free hand against the anti-national forces to tackle such like situations to prevent them from repeating similar incidents in future.
