2/21/2019 10:29:50 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 21: Taking strong note of huge transfer scandal by the controversial outgoing Chief Education Officer Doda Mohammad Sharief who gained notoriety for seeking sexual favours from a teacher, the Chenab Valley Teachers demanded immediate inquiry into the matter as well as cancellations of all orders issued by him before demitting his office .
Following the outcry, ADDC Doda directed the incumbent CEO Doda to provide all the relevant details pertaining to mass scale transfers issued by him. As per the details available with Early Times, Chenab Valley Teachers federation Doda claimed to have exposed a big scam of transfers of various cadres in the district done by the Ex CEO Doda Mohammad Sharief Chouhan.
The federation alleged that the outgoing CEO Doda has illegally issued back dated transfer orders of various cadres viz. teachers, Junior Assistant, Lab Assistant, library Assistant etc. few hours before being relieved from the office on 18-02-19 in gross violation of rules & norms.
Nisar Ahmed Banday, President CVTF in an application address to DC Doda alleged that the outgoing CEO Doda has misused the office and has indulged in unabated corruption in these transfers and termed it as big scam.
The federation has alleged that the Ex. Chief Education Officer Doda, Mohammad Sharief Chouhan fostered nepotism, monopoly, favouritism and unabated corruption in the department and flouted all the norms and rules of transfers.
The federation said that the officer indulged in several other misappropriations in last academic session 2018 in the name of rationalization in the district and added that rationalization was only the drama to adjust the favorite candidates.
"There is no transparency, accountability in the system. Public in general and teaching community in particular have impressed upon the Advisor to Governor Khursheed Ahmed Ganai, to seriusly look into the said scam and demanded that the transfers be cancelled at the earliest .
The also called for an independent inquiry to be conducted in this matter and the concerned officer and officials be questioned for the mess and unabated corruption in the district.
It is pertinent to mention that despite government directions on detachments, Sohail Raja (ReT) attached at CEO Office Doda since last 3 years. He was originally posted at Lower Bhelli Primary School Ghat Zone, but to felicitate him-- the school was clubbed with nearest school .
Similarly Ather Parvaiz, Teacher whose posting is at Government High School Batote in Ramban District is holding the charge of legal cell in CEO Office Doda for the last 10 years and is facing inquiry for his fake B Ed degree.
Another teacher Javaid Ahmed instead of teaching the students preferred to work as Driver of CEO Office Doda.
In addition, many ReTs, Teachers and Masters are attached in the District in violation of rules and regulations and the aggrieved called upon Chief Electoral Officer J&K to order transfers of all such teachers without any further delay.
